Armed police on streets of Orford for second consecutive evening

ARMED police were on the streets of Orford for a second consecutive day following reports of a drug dealer on Greenwood Crescent.

It followed on from armed officers attending reports of three armed youths on Mardale Avenue the previous evening.

In the latest incident, local officers attended supported by firearms officers but there was no trace of drugs and no arrests were made.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Local officers, supported by the firearms unit, were deployed to the scene and conducted a search of the area.

“Officers located a suspect at an address in the area and officers conducted a search of the property, but there was no trace of any drugs and no weapons were found.”
