Investigation underway after casualty rescued from house fire at Orford

AN investigation is underway after a casualty was rescued from a house fire at Orford on Saturday afternoon.

At 13:29 two crews from Penketh were called to reports of a fire at Northolt Court, Orford.

It followed reports of a smell of smoke and fire on the first floor of a house on Northolt Court, Orford.
The first crews arrived five minutes later and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were deployed to rescue a casualty from an upstairs bedroom.

The fire was contained to the room and dealt with quickly. Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. Further updates will be provided in due course.

  1. People should get facts straight before reporting on them, the house is in Padgate, there is no investigation underway and what is meant by casualty rescued exactly?
