Labour hold Latchford West

LABOUR held on to Latchford West last night with long-time campaigner and community volunteer Denis Matthew’s topping the poll.

With a 28.3 turnout for the by-election following the death of former Mayor Les Morgan, Denis topped the poll with 662 votes, Conservative Stephan Taylor came second with 488, Lib Dem Sharon Harris third with 274 and independent Amanda Bowles fourth with 199.

Denis is no stranger to Latchford having been born, raised, and started a small business in the area. He works in Latchford and spends his spare time volunteering and supporting a Latchford-based community group.
