Council confirm two week road closure at Lymm for new water main

A road closure for up to two weeks will come into force at Lymm a week on Monday (April 17) to allow United Utilities to install a new water main on Whitbarrow Road.

The closure will be northbound on Whitbarrow Road from its junction with Brookfield Road.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Whitbarrow Road (northwest bound traffic) from its junction with Brookfield Road to outside property number 29.
The Order will be effective from 17th April 2023 for 2 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Brookfield Road, Eagle Brow, Booths Hill Road, Camsley Lane and Warrington Road.
The closure is required to allow for the installation of a new water main.
