Police seek witnesses after 81-year-old woman seriously injured in collision at Latchford

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a 26-year-old woman was arrested on dangerous driving offences following a serious collision in Latchford, Warrington.

At 12.44 pm on Wednesday 5 April officers on patrol in Warrington came across a collision on Knutsford Road, Latchford.

The incident, which involved a car and a pedestrian, occurred near to the pedestrian crossing on Knutsford Road.
The pedestrian, an 81-year-old woman, is believed to have sustained serious, but non-life threatening, injuries and was taken to the Royal Salford Hospital.

The driver of the car, a 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
