Fire crews tackle two fires in the open at Latchford

FIRE crews were called out twice to tackle small fires in the open at Latchford, Warrington.

At 17:57 on Thursday evening one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire near Knutsford Road Swing Bridge, Warrington.

Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the open with a hose reel.

Then at 18:47 one crew from Birchwood was called to reports of another small fire in the open at Richmond Avenue, Latchford.

A small fire that had been lit in a wooded area was extinguished by firefighters using water.
