Fire crews called out to portable toilet fire on M6

THREE fire crews were called out during the early hours of this morning following reports of a portable toilet on fire on the M6 near Woolston.

At 04:40 crews from Warrington, Leigh and Lymm were called out to reports of a fire on M6 north, between junctions 21 and 21a

The fire involved a portable toilet on the hard shoulder of a motorway. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish it.

In another incident, yesterday, Tuesday, one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a skip fire at Great Sankey.

At 16:32 firefighters attended a skip fire on Sycamore Lane which was extinguished with a hose reel. A thermal imaging camera was also used at the incident ensuring the fire was fully extinguished before they left.
