A shoplifter who assaulted a member of staff while stealing a TV from a store in Warrington town centre and also assaulted a police officer following his arrest has been jailed for four weeks.
Paul Drummond appeared before Warrington Magistrates this morning after he stole a TV from Asda at Cockhedge on Tuesday, when he also assaulted a member of staff in the store and assaulted a police officer whilst in custody.
He had been arrested after being pursued from the store after running out without paying for a TV.
He pleaded guilty to all offences and received a 4-week custodial sentence.
