UP to 14 weeks of road closures are set to come into force at Winwick next week as part of the ongoing development of the former Parkside Colliery site.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving and footway closure on Parkside Road from its junction with Hermitage Green Lane to its junction with the borough boundary with St Helens.
The Order will be effective from 24th April 2023 for 14 weeks, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Golborne Road, Newton Road, Southworth Road and vice versa.
The restrictions are required for the construction of the new traffic junction as part of the Parkside Development.
