A 90th-minute strike from Mo Touray sealed a first win in charge of Warrington Rylands for manager Michael Clegg.

The on-loan from Marine forward received the ball from Sean Cooke on the edge of the area swivelled and fired past Guiseley goalkeeper Cameron Mason to end the home side’s run of six games without a win.

Having taken the lead in the 40th minute, it had looked as though Rylands would have to settle for a point after another on loan forward Benni Smailes-Braithwaite, who had a brief loan spell with Rylands at the start of the season, scored an 85th minute equaliser for the visitors whipping a free kick through a packed penalty area out of the reach of Rylands goalkeeper Luke Pilling into the far side of the net.
Rylands had opened the scoring with a spectacular goal from Scott Duxbury who, spotting Mason off his line, delivered a free kick from inside his own half which flew over the helpless custodian and dipped just under the bar into the net.

Prior to kick-off, there was a minute’s silence to mark the 30th anniversary weekend of the Warrington bombing.

In an open contest both sides created plenty of opportunities throughout to keep the spectators entertained the first falling to Rylands latest loan signing Joe Adams whose shot in the first minute was saved by Mason, who pulled off a fantastic save to tip a close-range header from another loanee Colin Oppong over the bar five minutes later.

After weathering Rylands fast start Guiseley started to come more into the game. In the 20th minute a free kick into Rylands area was knocked down to Isaac Assenso who scooped the ball over the bar, Smailes-Braithwaite fired a shot wide while Pilling saved a long range shot from Leigh Whelan.
As they did in the first half, Rylands started the second half strongly with a desperate Guiseley defender clearing off the line after Duxbury had propelled the ball goal wards in a goalmouth scramble from a corner. Rylands continued to create chances with Oppong drawing a save from Mason as did Matt Sargent while Touray had a shot deflected over the bar.
The visitors also had their chances, former Rylands player Scott Bakkor was inches away from turning a Smailes-Braithwaite cross into his ex-employers net on the hour mark and Samiles-Braithwaite fired a free kick across the face of Rylands goal missing the far post by a few inches
