THE Conservatives have selected a former borough councillor to fight the upcoming Latchford West by-election on Warrington Borough Council on April 20.

Stephen Taylor served previously as a representative for Stockton Heath and still serves as a parish councillor.

Mr Taylor is a Latchford West resident and has a wealth of experience of the ward and the area.
He has lived in Warrington all his life and has extensive knowledge of working with the council, officers, and councillors. He has been a constant campaigner for residents and hopes to continue to be able to do that in the capacity as elected borough councillor
Chairman of Warrington Conservatives, Cllr.Wendy Maisey, said: ‘We are delighted that the executive has selected Stephen and we’re looking forward to speaking to residents about the issues that concern them most.
“Latchford West residents need a strong voice at the Town Hall to speak out on low-traffic neighbourhoods, and other concerns that affect their day-to-day lives.
The by-election follows the death of former Mayor of Warrington Les Morgan, Labour.
