TWO fire crews helped rescue a trapped person from an overturned vehicle following a road traffic collision in Warrington last night.

At 22:32 crews from Penketh and Stockton Heath were called to reports of a collision on Penketh Road, Warrington involving a person trapped in a car.

Crews freed one person from an overturned vehicle and handed them over to paramedics, before damping down the engine block of the vehicle and making the scene safe.
By coincidence firefighters at Warrington had been involved in training earlier in the day, refreshing their skills, for such an incident.
