Police officer bitten and health worker assaulted as 48-year-old man arrested following domestic incident

A 48-year-old man is in custody after a police officer was kicked and bitten and a health worker assaulted following a domestic incident at Paddington, Warrington last night.

At 10.30 pm on Sunday 5 March police were called to reports of a domestic incident at an address on Thorn Road, Paddington.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of assault.
He was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker in relation to the assault of an officer while he was being arrested.
The man remains in custody at this time where he is being questioned by officers.

It follows police reporting multiple arrests at domestic incidents, including one where the suspect decided to kick and then bite an officer.
Three people were also arrested for ABH after a male was assaulted outside his home address in the early hours of the morning.
This was as well as searching for a high-risk missing people.
