FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected arson incident following a fire in woodland near Sankey Valley Park, yesterday evening.
At 5.20 pm one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a fire in a wooded area of Bewsey Farm Close near Sankey Valley Park.
The is believed to have been started deliberately. A hose reel jet was used by firefighters to extinguish the flames and police were informed.
