POLICE have arrested two men and seized cash, drugs and cigarettes worth an estimated £450,000 following a stop check at Burtonwood, Warrington.
At around 8.40pm last night (Tuesday), officers stop checked a Vauxhall Vectra driving erratically on Gorsey Lane, Burtonwood after it was initially sighted on Helena Road in nearby St Helens.
Following a search of the vehicle, a large quantity of suspected drugs were seized. Two men were detained and arrested.
A subsequent search of premises led to around £50,000 of cash and an estimated £400,000 of cigarettes being seized (pictured).
A 29-year-old man from Burtonwood was arrested on suspicion of Drug driving; Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and cocaine; and Acquire/use/possess criminal property.
A 33-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
Both men remain in custody for questioning by detectives.
