Police are making a fresh appeal after fatal road crash

POLICE are making a fresh appeal for information regarding a collision in Warrington that left one dead, and another seriously injured.
And they have issued a blurred image of a red motorcycle seen just prior to the crash in Holcroft Lane, Culcheth, at around 9.30pm on July 18 last year.
Sadly, Ben Smith, aged 17 died at the scene, while a 13-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Enquiries in relation to the appeal remain ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have been on Holcroft Lane between 9pm and 9:30pm on that evening. In particular, the owner of a red motorcycle, who was seen just prior to collision, and may be key to understanding the exact circumstances of the incident.
Sue, Ben’s mum said, “I am struggling to come to terms with the loss of my son at such a young age, I know that this will not bring Ben back but any help from the rider or other witnesses will help me and the police investigation into the collision”.
