TWO fire crews were called out last night to tackle a chimney fire involving a log burner at a property in Lymm.

Shortly before 8:30 pm, crews from Lymm and Warrington attended the property on Jubilee Grove.

The fire involved a log burner and a chimney breast. On arrival, firefighters used chimney rods to extinguish the fire from inside the area and needed to expose the area to fully damp down. A thermal imaging camera was then used to check the loft to ensure the fire was completely out.
