Village centre road closure confirmed to allow water works

A road in Lymm village centre will close for up to one week next week (Feb 6) to allow United Utilities to carry out water connection works.

Bridgewater Street will close from February 6 from its junction with Eagle Brow to its junction with Boat Stage.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Bridgewater Street from its junction with Eagle Brow to its junction with Boat Stage.

The Order will be effective from 6th February 2023 for one week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Eagle Brow, Brookfield Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install new water connections.
