Cromwell Avenue closed following three-vehicle collision as firefighters rescue trapped person

CROMWELL Avenue was closed on Saturday evening as emergency services attended a three-vehicle collision as firefighters removed the roof of a car to release a trapped person.

The road was closed in both directions following the collision involving three cars at 16:50 near IKEA and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

Emergency services including fire, police and ambulance attended at the scene.
One casualty, who was trapped, was removed from their car after firefighters removed the roof from the vehicle.
The road was closed while the incident was being dealt with.
