POLICE have received reports of suspicious activity in the Burtonwood area involving someone on a motorbike possibly taking pictures of cars on driveways.

The suspicious behaviour has been reported in the Pinewood Road area of Burtonwood over the past few nights involving someone on a motorbike possibly taking pictures of cars parked on driveways, although this is not confirmed and could be something innocent.

If you spot any suspicious behaviour PLEASE report via 101 or if really concerned and still ongoing 999.
Local PCSO Tony Spruce said: “Please carry out 9pm routine checks and check vehicles are locked. Place keys in safe places and if you have cars with keyless ignition it is worth placing keys in a metal tin or cover with foil, this prevents the scanners people use to steal cars from working.
Tony added: “This post isn’t to alarm people it is to help prevent anything happening, you are my eyes and ears in this community.”
There were also a few reports over the weekend of suspicious behaviour in the Winwick Park area overnight involving opportunist thieves who are trying door handles.
