Man denies murder of stabbing victim Billy Moore at Bewsey

A 41-year-old Bewsey man today (Monday) denied the murder of local man Billy Moore who was stabbed to death shortly before Christmas last year.

James Ireland pleaded not guilty to murdering 31-year-old Billy Moore on December 22 last year.

Emergency services had been called to an address on Yardley Avenue in Bewsey shortly before 10.45 pm that evening after a report that a man had sustained serious injuries.
Mr Moore was taken to hospital but sadly died.

Ireland of Lodge Lane, Bewsey, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court this afternoon via video link from prison and pleaded not guilty.
He was further remanded in custody to await his trial, expected to last one to two weeks, beginning on July 3
