PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for a development of 27 affordable homes on land near the M62 at Houghton Green, Warrington.
The scheme – which consists of 15 three-storey townhouses and 12 two-storey semi-detached houses is at the end of Mill Lane, close to the Plough public house and existing houses.
Currently, it is a mix of grassland, shrubland and derelict sheds. It was originally part of the former White House Farm, which was demolished during the construction of the M62.
LT Property Ltd proposes housing for families, with associated amenity space.
The development includes an amenity area, with acoustic mounding to screen the development from traffic noise on the M62.
