Firefighters help rescue trapped casualty after car lands on roof

TWO fire crews helped rescue a trapped casualty after a car landed on its roof following a road traffic collision on Holcroft Lane, Warrington, on Wednesday afternoon.

At 13:24 crews from Birchwood and Warrington attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Holcroft Lane near Culcheth.

The vehicle was on its roof with a casualty trapped inside. Firefighters used specialist equipment to extract the casualty.
Ambulance and Police were both in attendance, the road was closed and the casualty was passed over to the care of the Ambulance Service.
Crews made the area safe and handed over to the Police.
