Traffic at a standstill following collision on M6 Thelwall Viaduct

HEAVY traffic was reported across Warrington following a collision on the M6 northbound between Lymm and Woolston this morning.

One lane was closed on the Thelwall Viaduct following a road traffic collision.

The collision occurred on the northbound carriageway between junction 20 at Lymm and 21 at Woolston, resulting in reports of traffic at a standstill on various roads in Warrington, including London Road at Stockton Heath, Manchester Road at Woolston and Winwick Road.

One of four lanes was closed. Normal traffic conditions were expected between 10:45 and 11:00.
The lane has since re-opened.
