Work looming on speed humps and traffic calming at Lymm

0

Consultation is underway on establishing speed humps and traffic calming measures on Eagle Brow and Brookfield Road at Lymm.

Warrington Borough Council highway planners say safety concerns have been raised by stakeholders regarding the operation of the existing mini roundabout on the route to improve visibility and reduce potential conflicts.

The 20mph speed limit has poor conformity and Eagle Brow is a busy route into the village with high pedestrian activity on the existing narrow footway. The approach speeds on Brookfield Road in both directions to the mini roundabout are also a concern to which the traffic calming measures proposed will address.
It is therefore deemed necessary to introduce traffic calming measures on the approaches to the junction of Eagle Brow and Brookfield Road.
