A takeaway delivery driver was found to be over the limit and in possession when stopped driving his vehicle in Warrington last night.
Police had to take evasive action when his vehicle pulled out in front of moving traffic.
Officers pulled the vehicle over and were met with two very distinct smells. There were several cans of alcohol within the vehicle, some of which were half empty. The driver provided a positive breath sample of 55 and a small bag of cannabis was seized from within the vehicle.
This male wrongly thought it was safe to deliver food whilst under the influence of alcohol. He was wrong and arrested for drink driving and possessing drugs.
