Lengthy delays on M6 near Warrington following collision

LENGTHY delays were being reported on the M6 Northbound near Warrington, following a road traffic collision on Thursday afternoon.

Delays of around 40 minutes were being reported by National highways, after lanes three and four were closed on the M6 between Junction 20 and J21 near the Thelwall viaduct. Both lanes are now re-opened.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra journey time.
Traffic was already heavy in the Warrington area due to Christmas shopping.

Lanes 3 and 4 ( of 4) are closed on the #M6 northbound between J20 and J21 due to a collision.

Recovery agents are en-route to the incident.
