A CONTROVERSIAL plan to increase the size of a car park which was refused earlier this year is back before Warrington planning chiefs.

Members of the borough council’s development management committee refused the plan following objections from local residents and councillors. There were concerns the scheme would lead to noise and disturbance to local residents.
Officers had recommended the scheme be approved.
The new plans have reduced the number of additional parking space proposed.
