Electrical fault believed to have started van fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out yesterday afternoon following reports of a van on fire on West Street, Warrington.

At 14:39 one crew from Penketh was called to reports of a commercial van on fire.

Wearing breathing apparatus they used a hose reel water jet to put the fire out.
The cause is believed to be an electrical fault in the dashboard while the van was undergoing repair.
There were no reports of any casualties.
