Yesterday afternoon officers received several reports from across Warrington West regarding School children walking and playing on frozen water.

PCSOs attended both Schools this morning to ensure that the message is clear, “frozen water is extremely dangerous and should not be treated as a playground”.
This message was relayed to students, parents and staff.

The warning follows the tragic death of four young boys in Solihull after they fell through the ice on a frozen lake, suffering cardiac arrest due tot he freezing water.
