Two week road closure at Penketh for gas mains replacement works

A two-week road closure is scheduled at Penketh early in the new year for gas mains replacement works.

Sandy Lane will be closed from its junction with Warrington Road and its junction with Heath Road, Penketh.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Sandy Lane from its junction with Warrington Road to its junction with Heath Road.

The Order will be effective from 9th January 2023 for 2 weeks, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Heath Road, Warrington Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
