Three fire crews called out to tackle chip pan fire

THREE fire crews were called out yesterday evening to tackle a chip pan fire at a property in Warrington.

Shortly after 6 pm, crews from Penketh, Birchwood and Lymm were called to a property on Scott Street, Warrington, where chip pan was the cause of a fire.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and a high-pressure fan to clear smoke. There were no reports of any casualties.

In another incident, shortly after 6 pm one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a bn fire behind shops on Central Way, Warrington.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire which was a controlled burn that had got out of control.
