POLICE are increasing patrols in Warrington town centre in response to recent incidents of anti-social behaviour that has resulted in five arrests for possession of offensive weapons.

There has been an increase in police officers around the town centre bus station, Horsemarket Street and its surrounding areas this afternoon and evening.

Police say this is in response to recent anti-social behaviour over the past couple of days, which they are currently investigating.
Anyone who sees anti-social behaviour should either speak to an officer or call 101.
