A drink driver crashed into four parked cars in Warrington last night after spending the evening in the pub watching England in the World Cup.
The male, driver, who had had his licence for less than a month was found to be more than double the limit, after blowing 91 at the roadside – the legal limit is 35 mgs. His girlfriend was also arrested for being drunk and disorderly after shouting and swearing in the street.
He was arrested after officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Goldcliff Close, Callands.
He had managed to crash into four parked cars. It was not a shock to officers when he blew 91 at the roadside. The male managed to write off his own car, which he had owned for 2 days, caused damage to residents’ cars and will likely lose his licence.
Police say driving home after spending the evening in the pub watching England is not worth the risk to you or other road users.
The males girlfriend disagreed that he should be arrested and was arrested for being drunk and disorderly after she continued to shout and swear in the street.
