MARIANNA Dobis was born in a small town in Slovakia where she lived until she moved to England in 2021.
Now she lives in Warrington and can’t believe that, at the age of 21, she has written her first book.
“The Things I Have Never Told You” (Olympus Publishing, £7.99 ) is a poetry collection with the words coming straight from Marianna’s heart.
She says: “I started writing and I had no idea that people might understand my words, because all of us have a different story, different backgrounds. But as I continued, I saw people liking what I do.
“There were people finding themselves in my work, they felt as if it was written for them.
“And then I realised that everyone of us has a story that is way too private to be told out loud. That there are some stories that we want to keep for ourselves, like our little magical secrets. But at the same time, we all desperately need to know that we are not the only ones.”
She describes herself as a dreamer, who always decides by heart.
But when it comes to the final decision she still needs a “push” from the ones she loves.
“The Things I have Never Told You” is available from this week.
