Fire crews help rescue person trapped following collision on M56 near Stretton

TWO fire crews were involved in a rescue operation yesterday evening when a person was trapped in a vehicle following a road traffic collision on the M56 near Stretton.

At 18:33 crews from Lymm and Runcorn were called to reports of a collision on the M56 eastbound between junctions 10 and 11.

A casualty was extricated from a vehicle following a collision on the M56 eastbound. The collision involved one vehicle and the casualty was released by firefighters using a scoop.
They also administered first aid before the released person was taken to hospital by ambulance.
