WARRINGTON Rylands continued their good recent form with a commanding victory over Morpeth Town.

The blues, unchanged from last week’s 2-2 draw away at FC United, started on the front foot and nearly took the lead in the 6th minute when captain Dean Furman was played in by a chipped through ball, only to slice his effort wide of the target.
Rylands would go closer on 12 minutes when AJ Leitch-Smith struck the far post, with the effort rebounding to Furman but he couldn’t get the ball out of his feet quickly enough and the ball was smothered to safety.

The blues were forced into an early substitution when Dylan Vassallo had to be replaced by Jordan Mustoe, but it was Mustoe who opened the scoring in the 37th minute. A fantastic shot by Furman smashed against the bar and fell Mustoe who showed excellent composure and a clinical finish to smash the ball into the near post.

The blues doubled their lead in the 44th minute as Callum Dolan scored from the spot. This was after Dolan had been fouled after showing great footwork inside the Morpeth area.
Morpeth hit the post with a free-kick with 10 minutes to go, but this was as close as they got to find a way past Joel Torrance in the Rylands goal.
The blues could have extended their lead but substitute Kelly N’Mai was denied by a smart Dan Lowson save.
