A total of 34 knives have been recovered by police in Warrington as part of Operation Sceptre, a national campaign to take knives off the streets.

PCSOs who cover Warrington West were out on the beat on Saturday as part of Operation Sceptre. A total of 34 knives have been recovered and will now be safely destroyed.

Police have said a big thanks to everyone who came down to their knife surrender bin and to those who contacted them with requests to collect unwanted knives.

They will continue to support the national campaign to take knives off the streets and educate people about the risks of carrying bladed weapons.
