THE devastated family of 27-year-old Mark Lawrence, who died following a collision in Warrington, have paid tribute to him as police renewed an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Mark from Warrington, was a pedestrian involved in a collision with a Volvo XC90. The incident occurred at around 1.50 am on Sunday 2 October on Chester Road at the junction of Centre Park link road for Slutchers Lane.
He received treatment at hospital following the collision but despite the best care from medical professionals, he passed away on Sunday 23 October.
His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Mark’s parents and brother have paid tribute to him saying: “The tragic loss of Mark so early in his life is devastating and has left an unfillable hole in our family; it is unfair that such a happy, generous, and active young man has been lost.
“Mark’s loss will be felt by so many beyond his immediate family, who loved and respected him, including his grandparents, uncles, aunties and cousins in both England and the Philippines and countless friends from England and around the world who have supported his family through this difficult time.”

The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man from Runcorn, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has captured footage that may be relevant to come forward.
