POLICE in Warrington will tonight launch Operation Treacle in a bid to deter anti-social behaviour.

In the lead-up to Halloween, community officers have been circulating leaflets in local communities and advising shops not to sell eggs and flour to youngsters.

Tonight is the start of Op Treacle the yearly campaign to target Anti-Social Behaviour which always spikes at this time of year.
There will be several patrols out and about throughout Warrington to deal with this.
If any issues please call 101 to report them or 999 in an emergency. PLEASE do not report via social media as may not see them in time.

An increase in officer presence across Warrington over the next few days is there to provide reassurance for anyone who may have any concerns over the Halloween period.
