Casualty treated following chip pan fire

TWO fire crews were called out yesterday evening following reports of a chip pan fire at a property in Orford, Warrington.

Shortly after 6 pm, two crews from Warrington and Birchwood attended at the property in Grasmere Avenue following reports of a kitchen fire involving a chip pan.

The fire was out on arrival, and one casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.

In another incident, during the early hours of this morning, two fire crews from Penketh were called to a fire on Grafton Street, Warrington.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire involving disused doors and laminate flooring in an alleyway. A thermal imaging camera was also used to ensure that the fire had not spread to adjoining property.
