A new cllr. has been co-opted at Lymm Parish Council.

Karen Rurlander has been co-opted to serve as a Lymm Parish Councillor until the next elections in May 2024. She takes over from Selina Kirkham who had to resign due to work commitments.

Karen has lived in Lymm for nearly thirty years. She spent over twenty years as part of the British Airways promotional and recruitment team until the base closed. She then retrained and now works as a teaching assistant at Oughtrington Primary School. She has also served as a governor at the School for the last fifteen years.

Karen said: “I feel very fortunate to live in a village that still holds a community feeling and is an attractive place to live. I am grateful for the opportunity of being a councillor to maintain this spirit and to help continue its traditions.”
