VIDEO: WARRINGTON town centre came alive with a host of vibrant, free family events for the opening weekend of the Rugby League World Cup including a visit from Eko the Sea Giant.

After touring the town centre waves washed Eko, a sentient Sea Giant, onto the shore in the Old Market place at Golden Square.

There he encountered vulnerable Violet. These two beings – an ancient creature, and a young girl – offer their
stories: an impactful dialogue around our earth’s climate emergency, told through dance, movement, and masterful puppeteering, providing an understanding that speaks to the world at large.
There was also a giant-sized arcade featuring iconic arcade games in Time Square.
