Lymm May Queen Committee looking for new volunteers

ORGANISERS of the annual Lymm May Queen Festival are looking for new volunteers to join their committee.

It follows the recent retirement of Chair Cllr Kath Buckley and several other committee members.

Field organiser Diane Kerfoot said: “Can you spare a few hours of you time for your community? Do you have corporate experience or a passion for volunteering?
“The May Queen is looking for your help to take on the well-supported roles of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
“You can come along to the Annual General Meeting to say hello and be a part of a well-loved tradition for our village. It takes the dedication of its volunteers to organise the details and we will need people on the day to guide visitors or help with a light set up of chairs and decorations.

“So come join us at The Spread Eagle next Wednesday the 12th at 7:30p in the Tap Room. Come for fun and stay for a pint!”
