A free badger talk event is taking place in Lymm this weekend, giving people information on their protected status.

Lymm Parish Council has invited Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group to talk to residents. From allotment tenants who see their sweetcorn targeted and those who have regular badger visits in the gardens each evening, all are welcome to attend.
Topics covered will include an introduction to badgers, their habitats and role in biodiversity, interactions with humans, the reasons for their protected status and how we can all can play a role in their future.

Also present will be RECORD, based at Chester Zoo, the North West’s biological records centre. RECORD provided a local facility for the storage, validation and usage of Cheshire-based biological data under the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) project.

The free session will be held at Lymm Village Hall, Pepper Street this Sunday October 9 at 2pm. The event is open to all but registration is required on eventbrite via
