MORE than 600 visitors attended the annual Open Evening at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School – a record number.

Various activities were staged across the school, including interactive maths quizzes, drumming workshops, marshmallow and spaghetti Eiffel Tower building, ink monsters creations and numerous fiery science experiments.
A pop-up radio studio gave students an opportunity to read the news and weather which, when recorded, enabled them to hear it played back as if live on air.
Every department of the school was involved and student ambassadors acted as tour guides for visiting families.
The Parent Supporting Boteler Group served refreshments in the canteen.

Headteacher Beverley Scott-Herron said: “ I am overwhelmed by the feedback and positive comments from parents and carers. I am very proud of my Boteler Family for creating an incredible atmosphere.
“Our Student Ambassadors who led the tours received fabulous feedback and they were so proud to represent their school. We really appreciate that parents and carers took the time to come and visit us, and we would love them to book tours during the school day so that they can see learning in action. Please just call the school to book in.”
