THE Liberal-Democrats triumphed in yesterday’s by-elections at Grappenhall & Thelwall, holding on to two seats at Warrington Borough Council.

Helen Speed and Mark Browne topped the poll at the by-elections caused by the resignations of former borough Cllrs Ryan Bate, who has moved to America for work and Mike Biggins, who stood down due to health issues.
