UP to six weeks of road closures will start at Penketh, Warrington, at the end of October for carriageway resurfacing works.
The works, due to start on October 31, will be taking place on the A562 Warrington Road from its junction with Greystone Road in an eastbound direction only; From Warrington Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Birkdale Road; Coronation Drive; The Grove; Heath Road; Sandy Lane.

THE BOROUGH OF WARRINGTON (A562 WARRINGTON ROAD & ADJACENT STREET’S)
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & CLEARWAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: A562 Warrington Road from its junction with Greystone Road in an eastbound direction only; From Warrington Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Birkdale Road; Coronation Drive; The Grove; Heath Road; Sandy Lane.
The Order will be effective from 31st October 2022 for 6 weeks, between 7 pm and 1 am, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Farnworth Road, Stocks Lane and A57 Liverpool Road.
The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
