AN estimated 3,000 runners took to the roads of Warrington on Sunday in the Warrington Running Festival.
Plans are already in the pipeline for next year’s running festival on Sunday, September 24, to be the world’s first free, road-closed chip-timed race!
Entry is open by ballot with a race capacity of 6,000 runners.

RUNNING FESTIVAL RESULTS:
First male in the 5k with a chip time of 16.26 was Alfie Crockett from Victorian Park Running Club.
Edwin Frost from Warrington Running Club first V35 with a time of 16:51.
First female was Eva Karalius with a time of 21:39
In the 10K event, first male was Callan Rowland in a time of 33:55.
First female across the line was Suzi McMahon V50 with 38:19 from the Front Runner Australia Club.
In the half marathon first male was Michael Taylor from St Neots Riverside Runners ina time of 01:09:40.
First female was Rebecca Jackson from Wilmslow with a time of 01:23:30.
