FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a domestic property at Woolston, Warrington, earlier today after a fuse box fire ruptured a gas pipe.

The incident occurred at a property on Cliftonville Road shortly after 10 am today. One fire engine from Warrington attended at the scene.

A dry powder extinguisher was used to put out a fire in an electrical fuse box. The fuse box was at the bottom of the stairs.
Electricity and gas supplies to the property were isolated and firefighters requested the attendance of both utility companies as there was damage to the fuse box and a ruptured gas pipe.
The crew remained at the scene until utility representatives arrived.
